Why is Theistic Evolution so Problematic? - A lengthy response to feedback. Not sure why CMI chose this title, as it doesn't fit the article. This was in response to a letter that has some very valid points. YEC readers will love the way the author (Carl Weiland) puts this evolutionist in his place. Theistic evolutionists will easily recognize the arrogance of the YEC author. Rarely is anything gained from pointing out the fallacies of YEC.

Still Soft after Half a Billion Years? - Report of interest on the preservation of marine worm tube tissue dated at 551 Ma. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the full scientific article describing this discovery, so I cannot verify if the YEC interpretation of the discovery is accurate. True, there is no decay rate measurements that indicate that soft tissues can last this long, but then again, this is a relatively new area of scientific study. It is difficult to say how things get preserved for so long, when we don't have the capability to duplicate the process (i.e. we can't sit around a half billion years and test it).
